I am using a IP 550 handset configured with two line appearances.  My question is when I am on the first line and a second call comes in the handset only shows the second calls Name (Displayed where the day and time normally appear) rather than both name and number below the current line 1 caller ID.  (See attached image for example) Can anyone tell me how to change this so it will show both name and number?

Hello mmcdevitt60,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We encourage all users to rto post their current software version.

A quick test in my lab running UCS 4.0.2 Rev B shows a 2nd call like this:

I assume this is the "REV" which is shown on start up under the IP address.

If so that would be 3.2.3.1734.

If this isn't correct how would I confirm the information you are requesting?

I apologize I am new to Polycom equipment.  I think you were looking for the BootRom info which is 4.2.1.0275.Correct?

Hello,

from the FAQ:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

The SIP 3.2 User Guide => here <= does show a second call coming in on the same line in a similar fashion as shown above by myself.

You may want to upgrade your software to SIP 3.2.7 or any other newer Version and test again.

Best Regards

If multiple line appearances are possible with the 3.2 software rev. could it just be a setting that needs to be changed within the line configuration locally or some other area of the local admin?

Eureka!  I factory reset the device and now it is working properly.

I think I found the answer.  The phone was set to have the first two buttons as line appearances for the main extension.  I was thinking this was necessary to manage the multiple call senario.

It comes to find out this was counter intuitive.  It actaully blocks the information since the calls are still trying to ring in on the first button (Line appearance).
