I have the VVX range of phones being auto provisioned, and the application/boot logs are being stored by our system.

The issue I'm hitting at the moment is that the application log length is too little, and I often get entire logs uploaded that consist of the repeated line (with index# incrementing):

Array parameter attendant.resourceList.x.address index 109 is out of range

This makes it useless for troubleshooting, so I'd like to make the phone store a larger log file so I can get the application information from during boot.

Per this thread, this recurring log entry is a known issue "will be fixed in a future release": http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/VVX500-error-log/m-p/53534/highlight/true#M8642

Hello bdx,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Using for example:

log.render.file.upload.append.sizeLimit="100000"

would for example create a 100MB large log file and then start overwriting the oldest part. This is based on a FTP server as provisioning server that allows to append a file.

In addition syslogging could be used instead.

We are using an HTTP server for provisioning instead of FTP and don't support the append function.

I've implemented it with log.render.file.size="180" for now, seems to be doing what I need.

Hello bdx,

It is always useful to include the currently used software version in a post.
