Morning Everyone,

We just finished deploying VVX 600's with the color sidecars. Some users want to be able to edit their contacts from the web configuration tool but since we have a cap of 34 lines, they can't get anywhere near the amount of lines on their sidecar from the web tool.

Is there any way to have the phone see the sidecar on the web interface so it will increase the amount of lines assigned to it?

We're running SIP, not lync and we're on software version 5.5.0.20556

Hello @sjohnson,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Phone can handle a maximum of 34 registrations and/or 48 Line keys. This includes if a Expansion module is used or not.

I am unsure if you mean Buddy Watch / Busy Lamp Field and / or speed dials but there are not many options to do this via the Web.

Speed Dials cannot be added or configured via the Web Interface.

In addition UC Software 5.5.0 is no longer a supported version. Please use 5.7.0 or at least 5.6.1

Steffen,

Thanks for the quick response. I was just giving the labelling as show on the website for the phone:

https://gyazo.com/52cbddaa483fda4d13730d9dc95fe775

The problem I'm having is that the user wants to be able to change their speed dial buttons and insert numbers into the middle of the list. The website lets you reorganize the list with arrows, which is great but with the hard cap, it's quite limiting. Is there another user-friendly way to accomplish this task instead?

At the moment, I've just given him the config to edit and we're going to reupload it but once he needs to add a user in the middle of that list, he's going to have to change 30 to 31 and 31 to 32 and so on and so forth. Any recommendations would be fantastic.

Hello @sjohnson,

No that is not the way to do this as this only add's BLF aka Busy Lamp Field extension aka monitor other users etc.
