Recently been given the task of setting up 6 x Soundstation IP6000 with Network set to DHCP but the issue I am having with them is they always show "Intializing Network" on first boot but if I click on the menu button/settings/advanced and then reboot the IP6000 connection works and I can enter web page of IP6000 sucessfully.

I have put in the correct details on our PBX server and set the correct port numbers/UDP etc for SIP setup and the correct line settings for phone number from the PBX.

I have done very basic settings on the IP6000, Provisioning Server set to Static and Ethernet DHCP and Network Configuration Quick setup set to Enable.

Although the connection works after a reboot I also find that the although I can phone the IP6000 sucessfully and I can make an intial call on the IP6000 to any phone number I find that after that first call using IP6000 I have to wait a few minutes before I can call another phone number on IP6000 which I don't fully understand this delay ?

Any advice on why a futher reboot is required after initial connection and why there is delay in making a subseqent call on the IP6000 ?

Thanks

Scott

Do you SPIP6000 phones by any chance have a MAC address starting with a 6 ?

HI Steffen

Thanks for the reply, Just had a look and the answer is yes they all start with a 6 in the MAC address.

I have also updated the firmware to 4.0.10.0568 and they all have BootROM Software Version5.0.5.2324

Hello Scott,

At present this is a Bug and you would need to downgrade to UC Software 4.0.4 as all version after this are affected to my knowledge.

If you have a Polycom reseller please raise a support ticket and quote VESC-6298 or alternatively if you purchased from a discounter please provide me with the MAC so I can lookup who you would need to contact.
