Is Hacking(?) phone necessary???

I just purchased a set of 11 polycom 501s. The company that is going to install them says he may need to hack them to reset them and wants $60 per phone to do this.

 

Any one heard of this? Can't they easily be reset to factory specs? Am I being ripped off?

 

Are these phones easy to set up on an existing system?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost or unknown.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

Please contact our support team .

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.
