I'm having no luck trying to display favorites on the right-hand side of the line screen on a VVX 310 phone. The user guides indicate that this is not only possible, but is the default behavior for the phone (see Polycom Business Media Phones UC 5.3.0 User Guide page 21 and Polycom Business Media Phones UC 5.2.0 User Guide page 20). I've followed the instructions to add contacts and assign index numbers, but I've clearly missed some crucial step because the only things displayed on the line screen is the phone line X 6 (3 on the left, 3 on the right). This is the case for all of our VVX 310 phones, although the VVX 500 display works as described in the user guides. Is it even possible display favorites on the VVX 310 line screen? If so, how?

Hello Cats COncert,
This is defenately the way it works. I would suggest you upgrade the phone to a currently supported version. The latest is 5.3.0

Hello Cats COncert,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
In addition are you trying to add Speed Dials when you mention the favorite Index or are you talking about LYNC favorites?
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I'm definitely not trying to do anything with Lync favorites. I've added a contact to the Contact Directory as described in the User Guides, including assigning a number from 1 to 9999 as a Favorite Index number. The User Guides indicate that the contacts with the 3 lowest favorite index numbers should appear in the right-hand column of the line screen.
