Quick question, and I searched the docs but couldn't find the answer.  I'm still using Polycom UC 3.3.4, and recently was trying to add a new Softkey to my IP 650 via the XML config.  I already had softkeys 1-10 defined e.g.

softkey.1.label="bla"

softkey.1.label="blah"

 .

 .

softkey.9.label="foo"

softkey.10.label="bar"

so now I tried to add e.g. softkey.11.label="baz" but it did not appear.  I double checked all my configs (I'm using DHCP option 66 + an FTP server for provisioning) and did a full power cycle reboot of the phone and I'm sure it downloaded it's config but the softkey just wasn't there.  So I swapped out one of the old keys that was in the #6 spot and voila, the softkey started working!

Long story short, is there a limit of 10 softkeys on the IP650?  Is that documented somewhere and does the UC 4.x release  have the same limit?  Thank you

Hello luckman,

I checked this internally and the Limit is 10.

The UCS 4.0.1 Admin Guide mentions:

he configuration parameter is defined as follows (where x=1 to a maximum number of defined soft keys).

Unfortunately above does not include the maximum amount of x. This is 10 and will be changed in the UCS 4.1.0 Admin guide.

Thank you for the clarification.  I thought that was the case but glad to know for sure.  I hope that in the future this limit might be expanded to 20 or more, I can only speak for myself but I find that 10 is actually quite limiting.
