Hello,

 

I'm having some trouble setting up a RealPresence Trio 8800 via Fritzbox 7490. I did set up Line1, the SIPserver information (IP and Port of the Fritzbox) and the login credentials. Looks good so far, but it seems the Trio 8800 is unable to register itself. Status for Line 1:

 

Line 1: Not Registered

*SIP: Server-1: *.*.*.* (Not Registered 0)

AOR: Trio8800@*.*.*.*

 

*.*.*.* = IP of the Fritzbox

 

I tried to punch in the register code I get from the Fritzbox (for example *123456 then green), but it doesn't seem to work. 

 

Any ideas? Does VoiP even work via Fritzbox with a Trio 8800?

99,9999% of all the time its providing the wrong credentials or not knowing how to populate the web interface.

have a look at following post. At the end it describes how to configure you Fritzbox and a Polycom VoIP-Phone. Works fine with Trio.

I tried out all possible options you guys showed me. No matter what I do or set, the Trio isn't able, to register itself to the Fritzbox. Rebooted the Trio multiple times, also tried a factory reset. Even the restart of the Fritzbox didn't do the trick. 

 

Could the PoE adapter cause some trouble (unlikely, due to the fact, that DHCP is working fine)?Should I try to do a firmware update with the Trio? 

 

I'm about to throw that thing against the wall 🙂

When you made a factory reset, you configured Trio with the "easy setup" (language, time-settings, etc.) and chose "generic" as profile? Firmware Update is always an option if something is not working. Always use the latest version when troubleshooting.

And after that, it´s time for troubleshooting...

I updated the Firmware to Version 5.5.3.3441. Seems that this did the trick (still had to wait an 1h or so for the Trio to Sync with the Fritzbox). Thank your the help

I am glad you got it working in the end but I can assure you it would have worked with any version.

 

But without any logs and/or screenshots or traces we cannot tell why it took 1h for you.
