Hi everyone,

I have a pretty serious issue that I really need a solution for so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  I have a client that just bought a whole office of VVX 400 IP phones, everyone likes the new phones and the sound quality except for the president of the company.  He has hearing aids in both ears and when someone calls him or he calls out, the sound to him is muffled on both the handset and the speakerphone.  I have had other users try the phone and they say the sound quality is perfect.  From what I understand his audiologist told him that lower tones (bass) are harder to hear than higher tones (treble) with his hearing aids but from all of the reading I have done you cannot change audio controls on the desktop phones.  Does anyone have any ideas that may help me find a solution, again any input is valuable at this point.

Thank you all very much,

Brandon

Hello Brandon,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Polycom phones support the following:

  • Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) handset for magnetic coupling to approved HAC hearing aids

As long as the Aid the customer is using matches the above it will work.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
