Hello Budrys,

this is now moving into support territory and this is something we do not provide via the Polycom community.

The SPIP331 in question (00:04:f2:2a:35:4c) was sold in 31/03/2010 via Veracomp SA.

I can see in the trace that the phone indeed is not sending a Vendor Option 60 name.

The phone is over 5 years out of warranty so therefore, if my free advise to upgrade the phone to a currently supported software version was not sufficient, you need to go ahead and open a Pay Per Incident ticket via your Polycom reseller.

In addition I can see in your wireshark trace a VVX400 DESKTOP PHONE which was sold 11/02/2014 via SKC Communication Products, Inc.

The above phone is running in LYNC base profile as it identifies itself as a MS-UC-Client so please ensure that you have the relevant Polycom per device LYNC license purchased in order to run this or other Polycom phones as explained => here <=

NEXT ACTION FOR YOU:

  • Upgrade the SPIP331 to a currently supported Software Version

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

OK.

Is there any option to set up sending a Vendor Option 60 name on my phones?

Roger that.

Could You tell me how to upgrade only one phone to make some tests?

Hello Budrys,

this is all explained in the FAQ. Please read the FAQ as the phone is over 5 years out of warranty

If you are unable to do this you need to go ahead and open a Pay Per Incident ticket via your Polycom reseller.

Hello Budrys,

please try this:

  • Menu => Settings => Advanced => Admin Settings => Network Configuration => DHCP Menu => Option 60 Format => Change from RFC3925 Binary to ASCII Text
