I'm struggling to find a way to configure a line button as a PTT.

Basically, I have a site that I've got BLF on an expansion unit for phones.  I want to add individual buttons for paging and ptt groups.  I do have paging and ptt working for the softkey, but that's not intuitive some many people and having dedicated buttons with nice labels would make all the difference.

Thanks in advance.

Hello dandenson,

any news on => this <= ?

In addition the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of an Hardware Button?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure you always check the community FAQ and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or

follow up post’s.

Checking above FAQ against the Map Internal Key Functions matching the Admin Guide for your yet unknown Software version shoudl describe on to either use Key Labels and Internal Functions or an EFK.

Steffen, I replied to that other thread.

I've read the doc you listed, but I can't find the information on what the code is to dial a paging or intercom group.

for example:
key.30.function.prim="$FDirectories$$FDialpad2$"

below that it lists buttons that can be mapped, but doesn't really give an example how. Also, what is the code ie $FDirectories to do use the page group or intercom group?

Thanks.

just to clarify, I do see that I would use $FPage or $FIntercom, but I can't figure out the complete code and I have no idea how to configure a lineKey to execute that macro.

Hello dandenson,

between the above quoted Hard Key FAQ and the below:

Resolution: Please check => here <=

and the community search function you should be able to find sufficient examples on how to program this.
