We have a IP 335 running 4.0.10.0568
I understand you can rewrite the "line2 button to call the message center.
key.SPIP330.10.function.prim = “Messages”.
But how can you create a softkey to do the same?
I tried afew options but it appears the I am not calling the function correctly.
I tried key.SPIP335.SoftKey1.function.prim = "Messages"
and
softkey.8.action="Messages"
softkey.8.label="Msg"
Thanks!

Hello SamF,
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of an Hardware Button?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
The above should explain this. Using EFK functionalities needs the $F feature
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Steffen,
Thanks for the reply-
I understand how EFK keys work, as well as how to reassign a key.
The questions was more geared towards the function of "Messages"
Based on the admin guide as well as other documents produced by Polycom there is an "invisible" button on the ip335 "Messages" and therefor it can be reassigned.
My attempt was to reassign it to a softkey was unsuccessful. Can this reassignment only be done to the "line 2" key?
