Hi,
We would like to assign multiple phone numbers to our Polycom VVX 600 series phones. They are currently running firmware 4.1.6.4835 ( this is because we are using the Color Add-on Expansion Modules with the phones ).
Currently the Base Profile is setup to use Lync. We currently have a SIP account logged into the phone with a valid phone number. Is it possible to have another Lync phone number assigned to the phone at the same time?
These phones are being used as Reception phones and the plan is to have the main reception line configured on the phone as well as the office phone number of the attendant that is working at the desk.
Thanks

Hello TOGLKevin,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
From the UCS 4.1.6 Release notes page 6:
Note: Registering with Lync Server
If you are using Polycom UC software 4.1.6 with Microsoft Lync Server, you can only register one line. You cannot use UC software 4.1.6 to register multiple lines on a phone registered with Lync Server.
Multiple LYNC registrations are currently not supported.
Also please be aware of the following when utilizing UCS 4.1.0 or later:
The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement.
Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.
Information in regards of License Part Numbers can be found here

Thanks for the reply. Are you aware of any new Firmware that Polycom will be releasing or has released that will work with the Color Add-on modules as it does set one back having to keep our VVX 600 Series phones sitting on version 4.1.6 just to support the expansion modules?

Hello TOGLKevin,
UCS 5.1.0 software added support for the Expansion Module.
This has not been released to the public and is only available via support. The next UCS 5.1.1 will be a public release.
It should be released in the not so distance future (subject to change).

You can create a Response Group in Lync for the main reception line and add the attendant account into that queue. Calls to the main line and office number of attendant will then ring on that VVX600 phone. If you want the main line to ring on other VVX600 phones, just add additional accounts to the queue for the Response group.
