We're rolling out 5.3 in our lab and I noticed that the phone gives an error on the top right about not being able to connect to Exchange. I'm guessing this is because I logged in with my PIN and not my Lync SIP address and password.

We really don't want to make users login with username/pass and I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the Exchange connection error via the config file. I love the idea of Exchange connectivity but I hate the idea of people locking themselves out of their phones when their passwords change.

Best,

Brandon

Hello Brandon,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

You can either manually disable it via Menu > Settings > Status > Diagnostics > Warnings

Or change up.warningLevel="0"

Or simply upgrade to 5.3.1 which contains the following fix:

    • VOIP-101197 The phone no longer displays any unwanted Exchange-related error pop-ups when a Lync user signs in to the phone using Pin-Authentication and EWS is enabled.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
