No sound on Handset on Polycom VVX 400

Just received Polycom VVX 400. I have it connected but with the handset set I cannot hear a caller on the end. The volume is set a max voulme level. When I switch to speaker setting, then I can hear the other caller.


When I pickup the handset to make a call, no ring tone or sound. If I make a call on speaker setting, I hear ring tone and sound


What is the issue?

Hello Mocha Java,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Are you sure you plugged it into the right port?


Are the RJ11 plugs all the way into the socket?


If yes and this is a brand new unit please work with whoever sold it and issue an RMA.
