Hi,

we have a setup with Asterisk and VVX300-phones. Some of the clients are using the "Always forward"-feature on the phones, which works fine. The problem is that it seems like the VVX-phones are trying to set the incomming caller ID as outgoing caller ID on the forwarded call, however our SIP provider won't let us set arbitrary caller IDs. The result is that the default trunk caller ID is set for the outgoing call. There is probably no way to convince the SIP provider to allow any CID, but for correct billing we would like to set the caller ID to another number in our allowed range. Does any one know if this is possible? I cannot find any setting on the phone, and neither can I figure out what happens with the diverted call in the Asterisk dialplan.

Thanks for your help.

Hello shvatum,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

It would probably also help other community members if you provided an incoming / outgoing log from the phone taken at SIP debug to show what you mean.
