I have an extra handset for my VVX D60 base and handset combo, but no way to charge it other than swapping both handsets onto the one base.  If there is any way to order a separate charge stand without having to also buy another handset I have not been able to find it.

 

Does Polycom not sell replacement components???  It seems so wrong to have to buy a complete extra handset if your charge stand goes bad.

 

I would love it if someone could steer me towards a source...  (anyone got an extra one they would like to sale?  Please P.M. me if so!)

Answering my own question...

 

The part number on the handset charge stand is the same part number as if I order the actual handset, so it looks like it cannot be ordered.

 

But...  There are no active electronics inside the charge stand - it is just a socket for the 5 volt dc 1.2 A charger with a 15 ohm resistor (looks like maybe a 2 watt) in series.

 

So given that there are no other solutions I will make my own!  Good thing I have some casting compound handy. 🙂
