Hi,

Do Polycom phones, by default, upload changes made to the local contact directory to the provisioning server's personal directory (<MACaddress > -directory.xml) file?

Based on this KB (https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/FAQ-How-can-I-create-a-local-directory-or-what-is-t...). The phone should attempt to upload changes to its local directoty to <MACaddress >-directory.xml file on the provisioning server. However, checking the phone's app.log, I can't find any attempts by the phone to upload to that file. It only downloads that file during reboot.

I must be missing something. Help pls.

Below are the required basic info:

Phone Basic Information:
Phone Model: VVX 410
Part Number: 3111-46162-001 Rev:A
MAC Address: 00:04:F2:55:F6:E4
IP Mode: IPv4
IP Address: 10.0.254.6
UC Software Version: 5.9.6.2327 (SIP/UC using PDMS)
Updater Version: 5.9.7.38223
Call Platform: Cisco BroadWorks

Hoping somebody in the community can help me with this setup.

Hello @jamimo ,

Welcome back to the Poly community.

Some or a couple of your old post(s) or reply(s) to them >here< are still open/pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provide some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilize the community more efficiently

Please do not simply mark them without any type of feedback.

Other volunteers are welcome to comment but official support can only be provided via the well-outlined methods.

For your new issue, there are various parameters that influence what happens with the phone so I suggest you check a backup and see what is configured.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
