currently we have used the current UC and bootRom versions for the SoundPoint IP phone but unfutuenately is not upgrading. Even had to set a 3CX Pbx system followed the step by step approach layed out on 3CX site as to how to go about it for the upgrade to be done. Setting up a DHCP server of option 66. I would like to know was your final recomendation on this issue

Hello Enodano,
you are not providing enough information in regards why the upgrade fails. The logs, if the phone can write to the server, should tell you.
I would suggest you work with 3CX if they support provisioning or simply setup your own server.
This is all described in the FAQ and for support please contact your Polycom reseller or Polycom support directly.
