Picking up a hold call

After placing a call on  hold, how do I then pick up this call on another phone in the office without transferring the call?

Hello SarJen,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

In addition it is useful to provide details on the phone in question and the call server being used.

 

Most likely your SIP server provider needs to explain to you how to retrieve a parked call as this is different on every switch.

This is available on the soundpoint phones using shared lines reference Technical Bulletin 33230 Shared Call Appearance Bridging on SoundPoint® IP and SoundStation® IP Phones. 

 

When a call is placed on hold the button will flash and any other phone with that shared line can "pick off" the call on hold.

We have it in production with Freeswitch. 

 

Steffen we are trying to get the "On Hold" pick off to work on a VVX 600 with

UC Software Version 5.3.0.12074

 

did something change with setting up Broadsoft SCA with VVX ?
