Hi there,

We are using Plantronics CS540 headsets with APP51 connected to a Polycom VVX400 (firmware 5.2.0.8330)

Our user get an annoying beep on the headset when called, which is fine when nog at the desk, but this is a callcenter agent, so always at the desk.

Is there any what to stop the beeps on incomming calls?

Hello Ronald_Honkoop,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Is the tone generated by the headset ?

If yes you may want to reach out to the Headset manufacturer instead.

The only tones our phones usually generates are a call waiting tone. How to disable this is described in the FAQ.

Hi Steffen,

The tone is generated by the Wireless Plantronics headset.

But activated by the incomming call on the Polycom.

Hello Ronald_Honkoop,

I quickly tested this with a Jabra Headset and the tone or sound played in the case of Jabra is no sound created by the Polycom Phone.

I can only advise you to work with Plantronics support to determine if the tone can be disabled.
