Dear Polycom,

We have several Polycom VVX400 in the field. Software version 5.6.0.17325.

When we set the parameter up.analogHeadsetOption="2" in the <<<mac-address.cfg>>> on our provisioning server (Plantronics is not even connected on EHS), the phone keeps on rebooting.

As soon as I remove the parameter from the config file, the phone is running fine.

If we set the parameter on the phone itself, after the reboot, the setting is back on default.

Thanks in advance for the support.

It seems to be a polycom problem

Hello sib,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

You may not fully aware but you will never add a parameter to the 00000000000.cfg or the <mac>.cfg as these files are simply telling the phone where it should load its configuration.

I suggest you check this FAQ post first:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

I am not aware of any issues around headset configuration and I am not aware of your current configuration so you may want to post a backup of this.

There could also be an overwrite parameter on the provisioning server.
