we have a PC VVX 401 we want to setup a auto answer on the last line ext. But it seems that the auto answer on all the ext, even thou i setup 2 separate sip deivce. how can i specific that only auto answer work on Sip Device 2 for the VVX 401 

 

Sip Device 1 : 1-5

Sip Device 2 : 6

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Again it is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

In addition it would be useful for others to see the configuration that you made in order to archive what you are aiming for to comment or make suggestions.

 

Auto answer is either always on for every line or the INVITE needs to contain a certain SIP INFO HEADER.

it a 4.11 and it a PC 650 not VVX 401

There is no 4.11

 

There is only a 4.1.1 which is for LYNC only and a 4.0.11

 

You still did not post any configuration or any logs or anything else so I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller.

 

As the unit most likely is out of warranty please prepare to pay a PPI / Pay Per incident fee.

as already explained UC Software 4.1.1 is for LYNC only and is not supported on a SIP installation.

 

Please upgrade your phone to 4.0.12 instead.

 

In addition you still have not posted any phone backup or commented on the facts posted above aka auto answer for all lines or if your SIP server supports the SIP INFO HEADER.

 

Your next option is to contact Verizon Network Integration who sold this phone back in 31/03/2009 using PPI / Pay Per Incident as this phone is out of warranty.
