Hello,

I have just purchased 2 CX600 phones and tried to plug them into the PoE ports on a Netgear FS726TP switch.  This switch can do 100 watts of power and up to Class 4 devices.  I have 3 devices in there right now that pull only 23.7 W currently.  I try to plug in either of the CX600 phones into the switch, only 1 at a time, and neither one will turn on.  I've used a working port from one of the other devices so I know at lease something will power on in that port but cannot get the phones to power.  Not even a flicker of life.  I find it hard that 2 of 2 phones are bad on a new order so I am wondering if there is something I am missing?

Hello Jeff,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I have just tested an Netgear FS116P in my Lab with 1x CX600 Phone plugged in and it boots as expected.

I can only advise you to contact your Reseller and / or Polycom Support to troubleshoot this further.

Best regards

Jeff,

What hardware revision is listed on the bottom on the CX600?  It will be displayed as Rev. X, Rev. A, Rev. C, etc.  There were some PoE power issues in very early pre-production units so let's see if we can identify or eliminate that possibility.

Hey guys.

I'm actually having the same problem here.  All of the other polycom cx600 units we have here in our organization power right up on any PoE capable switch, except for mine.  The only difference in between my cx600 and the others is that mine has a Rev E sticker on the bottom.  The other units we have are either Rev G or Rev D.

Any thoughts?
