Dear Polycom Community,

I've noticed that occasionally our Polycom IP 331's go through an extended power cycle (lasting maybe 10 minutes, the exact timing is uncertain). During this time, the phone's screen in blank and any device connected to the data port of the phone shows no link light.

The phone outage seems to generally occur at the same time as when another powered on device (laptop, workstation, etc.) is connected to the phone's data.

Eventually the phone will power up and everything will function normally as if nothing had happened; all in all, the behavior is similar to that of the phone being unplugged and plugged back in (although it goes without saying that we've done our best to rule out that this is actually physically happening).

Though I cannot replicate the issue at will, the behavior has been observed on several phones within our office.

Let me know if there is any other additional information that I can provide.

Thank you for your time,

Bo Jackson
