Hello!

I am looking to send a custom SIP Header from Polycom-335 towards my SIP Server when initiating a call from CURL request. I need to send additional information like X-CallerName: ABCD in the INVITE that goes to the SIP Server.

This is something I have tried -

curl --digest -u abc:xyz -d "<PolycomIPPhone><Data priority="all">tel:\\3035</Data></PolycomIPPhone>" --header "Content-Type: application/x-com-polycom-spipx" -- header "X-CallerName: ABCD" http://1.1.1.1/push

The call goes through fine, but the header is not visible at the SIP server. Is there anyway to achieve this in Polycom devices? If not, is there a work around possible?

Hello alliv8,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Only the methods described in the Web Developer guides => here <= when matching the same software release are supported.

To my knowledge we do not support any additional custom SIP headers and you would need to work with your Polycom reseller to bring this to the attention of a Polycom sales Engineer.
