Hello Forum,

We have a weird issue going on with our polycoms. Everytime the phones reboot, We have to manuelly set the phones from 'custom' to 'Static'.---FYI we normally pick the phones up and move then to a different desk, at times...i don't want you to think the phones are rebooting on their own.

We have other phones that dont have this issue..once we set it to static, put in the configs, let it reboot to update....and it stays.

Any Ideas?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello flatman123,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This can have various reasons, one being the factory settings differ or the phone picks up an old configuration that overwrites the new settings.

Usually the factory settings are documented like this => here <= and posted => here <=

In addition the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jul 25, 2013 QuestionHow can I setup certain Device parameters on my phone via a configuration file?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above would enable you to fix these settings automatically without user interaction.

Please also ensure for further posts to always provide the BootROM / Upgrader and SIP / UCS Software details.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
