Polycom 501 error updating bootROM!

Hi All,

Yesterday I had 3 501 phones develop "error updating bootROM!"

The phones are now stuck in a continous reboot loop.

2 questions:

1) How do I fix the problem?

      I have been searching the internet and have not come up with a good solution. I believe the resets would fix the problem but unless the phone boots I cannot use the menu button to do a file format and web configuration reset.

2) Any idea what causes this problem?

     I would like to proactively try to prevent this problem from occuring in the future.

Hello Rich,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

You will need a provisioning server that holds both the SIP Software and the BootROM
