Polycom 550, possible to have 1 line configured to two servers?

Basically what I am asking is if I register two servers to the same line, how is this handled? Will it always try to register with Server 1 first? Or is this type of configuration not recommended. Essentially we have two identical asterisk systems, one on a virtual one on physical hardware and would ideally like to have them both running concurrently incase anything happens to 1, the other can automatically handle the calls.
