Good morning,

We are deploying our Lync VVX 410 handsets with the Polycom BToE connector version 2.3 for a Lync better together desktop experience. The BToE software installs fine on the local client PC, and the pairing process between the phone and the client PC works without issue. Our problem is that once the two are paired, calls to and from the user do not behave as expected. Please find below examples of such scenarios;

1.) When a call is answered by picking up the handset on the VVX 410, the incoming call toast notification on the paired client PC goes grey and stays in place with ‘incoming call’ displayed even though the call has been answered on the handset. After 20-30 seconds the expected conversation / call window may appear. There is also a 3-4 second delay before audio is established between the caller and callee in this scenario.

2.) When a call is answered on the desktop (via clicking the Lync toast notification), the display on the VVX states that the call has been answered elsewhere and then returns to the idle screen. If you pick up the handset in this scenario you would hear a dial tone, even although the PC is in an active call. In some instances the VVX will continue to ring for an excessive amount of time even although the call has been answered on the PC.

It should be noted that if we break the pairing between the phone and PC, then the phone behaves perfectly when signed in as a Lync user, and call media is established instantly. As soon as its paired to a client PC, the performance and behavior because unpredicatable and poor.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Al the usual firmware tests and BToE versions have been performed, no firewall or AV etc.

Kind regards
Ben
