How do I change the outboud caller ID for a Polycom CX600 for Lync, which is connected to my company's IP phone system through an Avaya switch and integrated with Microsoft Lync on my desktop (very cool feature, by the way)? The problem is the caller ID displayed for me on recipient telephones is incorrect and is not associated with our company, so when contacts return my call using CID, they reach an outside party who is not affiliated with us. Our internal support team now supports only Avaya phones company-wide, and the Polycom CX600 for Lync is no longer supported internally, but I hate to loose it's functions.

Hello Paul,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The caller ID is not a functionality that can be changed on the phone so I can only suggest to post this question in a Microsoft LYNC or AVAYA forum.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Paul,

Since it's a CX Phone, you can create an outbound trunk rule in Lync to change the Calling Party ID. However, I have no idea what is upstream from Lync (Avaya?) and that may be something you have to look into as well.
