Re: Polycom DTMF

Hello naftula,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jun 30, 2015 Question:What is the difference using the UC Software 4.0.0 for compatible SoundPoint or SoundStation IP Phones?

Resolution: Please always check the release Notes or

Software Version  Call Server
4.0.X SIP Only
4.1.X LYNC Only

I am assuming you are using SIP instead of LYNC so please downgrade to the SIP supported release at present UC Software 4.0.9

Re: Polycom DTMF

Hello ,

again I can only reference the FAQ:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Phone unable to send DTMF to an IVR system or how to troubleshoot DTMF issues

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above should give you enough information to troubleshoot this.

Re: Polycom DTMF

I have a G.711 SIP trunk with a pair of SoundStation IP 6000, and I also need to be able to set them to inband DTMF (they're currently conference phones that can't join conference calls).

I've looked through that FAQ & it doesn't appear to show the code for changing to inband DTMF, only changing the payload type or disabling inbound DTMF.

I use a 3CX PBX and there is no reference to DTMF in its provisioning template. I've exported the config from my SSIP6000 & there is no reference to DTMF there either.

This really shouldn't be this difficult...

Re: Polycom DTMF

Hello Tim King,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The linked VoIP FAQ explains how to change the DTMF type from the factory setting to use Outbound SIP Info DTMF so if this would somehow be set you simply would change it the oposite way around.

In addition the attached FAQ post also shows how to check what type is currently being used so you have all methods at hand to troubleshoot this locally.

In addition it is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
