Polycom IP 6000 solid red lights no display

Polycom please advise of a fix for this.  We have had this happen to several IP6000s over the years and the aren't even more than a few years old.  Please tell me why unplugging the phone and then plugging it back in causes it to have a blank screen with solid red lights.  They are all running the 4.0.8H firmware.
