Hello,

I'm new to this board.  I have a number of Soundpoint IP330 handsets.  They have been in a box for about a year now.  I'm just cleaning them off and configuring them and I've noticed that many have a big dark cloud in the middle of the screen.  One of them even has a very dark blob in the middle, so much that it obscurs the text.

I've just been speaking to one of the people who's desk one of these phones came from and she said the display was fine a year ago when she last used it.

I've looked online and cannot find any mention of this problem.

The phones are plugged into authentic Polycom power supplies and I've done a system reset as well as manually fiddle with the brightness levels.

I just wonder if it's due to the phones being turned off for so long, or perhaps I'm not getting enough power to the display?  It just seems odd that it's on a bunch of phones (6 out of 10 phones).

Any thoughts or advice is really appreciated.

thanks

Hello Londonse1,

This sounds more like someone maybe used a cleaning detergent on these phones or similar.

I would work with your Polycom reseller to provide some photos to Polycom support to check this but leaving them in a box would have not caused this.
