I know that the Sound Station IP 3000 is end of life (for a while now); this is more of exercise to see if it is possible so we can use it on another system.   We have a SoundStation IP 3000 3com NBX.  Does this device work on other systems in as a SIP extension?  For example, we recently upgraded from an old 3Com NBX to a new Avaya system and were wondering if the IP3000 can be used on the other system just as a normal SIP extension?

The 3Com is so old that no one here knows how the IP3000 was configured to work on it in the first place so just going through the menus on the phone isn't helping.    Thanks.

Hello Venture,

welcome back o the Polycom Community.

Did you ever solve this issue => here <= ?

In regards to your SSIP3000 question and comments.

The SoundStation IP 3000 has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. Support for the product was available until 09/02/2010 which is more than 6 years now which usually means that end of sales was at least 3 to 5 years prior to this.

In addition, as stated in the Admin guide => here <= , the SoundStation IP3000 is a H.323 device and not a SIP phone.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
