Polycom SoundPoint IP 601 Time Issue

The date and time isn't work from ntp server and still blinking.


I set the configuration with this settings:

The phone cannot communicate with the NTP Server. It tries several IP's and does not get an answer after 7 times each.

 

This is not a Polycom issue.

The problem is: This ntp servers works !!

 

I tried other ntps server and had the same problem.

The logs tells me something different. How can you be so sure the phone can reach it ?

 

Have you done a wireshark trace at the phone end and checked ?

 

Did this never work or is this something new on this End of Sale and End of Support phone?

Yes. The phone's network is the same of computers.

All computers works ntp.

 

This is new, util last week ntp works fine on phone.

If you have not changed anything on the phone configuration and now it no longer works I suspect the network.

 

Setup a spanned port and monitor the traffice from the phone via Wireshark and reboot the phone. You can attach the trace here.

I found the problem. Ntp on IPv4 is blocked and IPv6 is working normally. For this reason computers work and voip does not.
