Polycom SoundStation IP 4000 - Admin Password

Hello Fellow Polycom Techs,
We have a Polycom SoundStation IP 4000, and we cannot recall what the admin password was so that we can configure it. We have tried the typical 456, which doesn't work. I had heard of a method in which you enter in REMOVED tI o do a "Factory Default" which would be fine by us. Can someone give us additional details on that?

Thanks,
-Iron

Re: Polycom SoundStation IP 4000 - Admin Password

**UPDATE**
You can disregard, I have located the method, for those that need to know you can find the procedure in the "Admin Guide". According to the guide:
"Restoring Factory Defaults"
For the key combination, press and hold certain key combinations (depending on the phone model) simultaneously during the countdown process in the bootROM until the password prompt appears:
IP 4000: 6, 8 and * dial pad keys
From here enter in the REMOVED of the phone.

Thanks,
-Iron

Re: Polycom SoundStation IP 4000 - Admin Password

Hello ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

If your phone is still able to connect to the Provisioning server please reset the password via the Device Parameters documented in the Admin Guide or here

The above is also stated in the Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum

If this is not possible please contact your Polycom reseller or the person you purchased the phone from.

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.

Best Regards
