Hi, we have a polycom soundstation 2 that is consistently dropping calls.  We are using VoiP throough 8x8 service provider.  I noticed that some of the previous feeds mentioned it happening after 1 hour.  Although calls under 20 minutes seem to be ok, it does appear to happen during lengthier calls.  Not quite one hour, but close to it.

Also, it seems that the calls just cut out.  For example, while on a call, the parties on the other line will say, "Hello, sounds like we lost them."  We can still hear them, but the party on the other line can no longer hear us.

But in both cases, the calls either completely cut off and go to a busy signal or cut off to where we can still hear the people on the call, but they can no longer hear us from the Polycom.

Is there a fix for this issue and why is it happening?

Thanks

Jen

Hello Jen,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The SS2 would not drop the call as it is an analog phone and not a SIP phone so it must be some sort of ATA / Analog converter doing this and you will need to get the provider of this to check this.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
