I have a Polycom Soundstation IP 5000 when I plug it in, in my office it registers and I am able to configure the device

I test it once I configure it and it works no problem.

I try to plug the device in on a different network and it won't register says that there is no network

All cables the cables are fine others devices will pick up the network but this phone won't

the only difference in the setup is that our network has a 192.... address range and the other has a 10..... range

they both work on DHCP and the polycom is set to pick up an address automatically but it has been configured with a static address as well which made no difference

I would have thought it was faulty but it does work.

Hello Simply,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Checking your profile it seems you are some voip hosting company so I would assume getting a wireshark trace done using a spanned port when the phone boots should show you what is happening.

It may be simply a VLAN issue but not data to look at will keep us all guessing.
