Polycom Soundstation IP 6000 - Lost admin password (Factory default reset)

Hi,

 

I want to change some settings on my soundStation Ip6000 but dont know what the admin password is, a former collegue must have changed the password. so i want to reset the phone to its factory default but you need the admin password for that as well.

 

I started the phone with inserted the keys 6, 8 and *. but then i will be asked to enter the admin password as well.

 

i just called the polycom helpdesk but the pointed me to this community.

 

so is there anyone who can help me with resetting this phone?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am unsure who you have spoken to in our first level team but we do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

Please contact our support team again or contact your Polycom reseller .

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.
