Anyone know what may be causing an "echo" when using this speaker phone?  It's connected to a IP network.

Thanks...  (any settings, or other tweaks?)

Hello Paul,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

You may want to read this document => here <= which describes echo sources and echo cancellation from a Polycom perspective.

First you will need to identify the source of the echo. The root cause of the echo is most likely caused by the far-end point.

Due the way an IP network works an echo is only notable due the delay introduced by the technology. The more delayed the packets arrive at the far end and are then played back into the audio stream the more noticeable they are.

In addition the codec being used for the call can also be an issue.

I suggest you check the above and verify you cover all angles.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
