I have recently upgraded several phones from the soundpoint IP550 to the VVX400 series. the one touch speed dials from the scrren are working correctly. however on the IP550 I was able to press the up key and type the number of the speed dial that i had specified. On the VVX400 when i dial the speed dial number it closes the directory menu and switches me back to normal dialing. Is there a way to replicate the behavior that my users are accustomed to from the IP550?

Hello dsdickst,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The functionality has been enhanced.

On a SPIP Phone:

Dialing the relevant Speed Dial Favorite index number would "just" dial that.

On the VVX for example:

Dialing the relevant Speed Dial Favorite index number will now open the Dialer screen and show you after a short delay the digit you dialed to manually dial a number or the relevant Speed Dial which can be selected.

At present I believe this is working as designed and you would need to open a Feature request via your Polycom reseller.

This is described in detail here:
