I am having a problem with using far-end Trio (8800) receiving shared contact during Blue Jeans video calls. All device and room system connect to Blue Jeans just fine, but it’s when a user or room system start to share content via Blue Jeans, that the Polycom Trio 8800 have problems. The behavior is the following, all parties on the call are see each other, then content is shared, and the Trio 8800 defaults to one of the default backgrounds never sharing what is shared. You do see a flicker of the content, then the background takes over.

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Hello pduthely,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition the Release Notes and probably the data sheet would let you know if we even have tested Blue Jeans and / or is compatible with the service.

Thank you, I have spent days reviewing these articles and release notes.  I still cannot find whey Polycom states that the Trio 8800 units are incompatible with BLUE JEANS or that no testing has been done. I did not find the articles/release notes helpful. I would like to keep the units, but I am afraid that I may have to stop my rollout and return all 10 units.

Hello pduthely,

We usually would write or document what we have actively tested and confirmed working so therefore I can only assume that this does not include the provider you are using.

Have you contacted them if they had done any interoperability testing with our product?

We utilize industry standard video protocols so not sure what the issue is.

Hi All,

I'm interested if a solution was found for this.

Our  company already uses Bluejeans, and looking at using the Polycom Trio's within our meeting rooms.

Bluejeans works in with S4b and our users are able to initiate meetings with Bluejeans, and our users are forced onto teh S4B to join.  Thsi works although needs some work from BlueJeans.

When you throw the Trio's into the mix, this is where things get tough!

---------------------------------------

Thsi is the email which users get

---------------------------------------

If a user has Bluejeans details to connect onto a meeting, where woudl I enter the following for it to dial out?

Connecting with Skype for Business?

https://bluejeans.com/xxxx(Meeting ID)/6185/skype

Connecting directly from a room system?

1) Dial: 199.48.152.152 or bjn.vc

2) Enter Meeting ID: xxx(Meeting ID) -or- use the pairing code

Just want to dial in on your phone?

1) +61.3.8400.4256 (Melbourne, AU)

2) Enter Meeting ID: xxx(Meeting ID)

3) Press #

Anyone work out a solution for this?
