Dear Team,

We have Polycom Trio 8800 and Polycom Trio Visual Pro. And we have zoom room connector license. Primary it is purchased to work with Skype for Business. Now we want to register it with Zoom. Is it possible to do that? If Yes, please share the relevant documents to do it.

Thank You

Hello @a.kumbalakandy ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Some features of Zoom are mutual exclusive aka when registered to Zoom, Zoom controls the configuration of the Trio and to my personal knowledge will not allow Skype for Business.

A solution to this can be the Hybrid Feature as explained => here <=

Set Line 1 to Skype for Business and set Line 2 for Zoom:

Nov 27, 2017 Question: Can I add Zoom to the Poly Trio?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Use the "2. Polycom supported Trio Hybrid Registration Mode using a Visual+/VisualPro" option.

For any follow-up questions not being answered by our volunteers please open a support ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hello Steffan,

Thanks a lot for your response.

Can I get the features like initiate the conference call from Polycom Trio when we register using hybrid mode?

HP Recommended

Hello @a.kumbalakandy ,

I am not sure I understand your question?

If Hybrid registration is being used we already state that you cannot create a conference between the separate lines.

The Trio is a conference phone and depending on your SIP PABX you can initiate a conference call.

Limitations on the Trio end are documented here:

Oct 25, 2011 Question: What is the maximum amount of participants in a conference call?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

If you still have questions, and no other volunteer can answer them, please work with a Poly reseller.

Best Regards

Hello Steffen,

Sorry about that.

What I asked is that, when we have a scheduled meeting in zoom and the trio is one of the participants added, can I use one button press to start the meeting? Or when I call zoom from the second line will it be added to the conference directly without entering the conference access code?

Thank You

Hello @a.kumbalakandy ,

If setup correctly the calendar will show the meeting and the Trio will be able to join.

Best Regards
