Hello,
I'm going to be purchasing the 8800 shortly, but I'm not sure which SKU would be best. There are two versions I can see - the UC one and the SfB one. We currently use 8x8 as our hosted telephony provider, but we also conduct some meetings using SfB (but just online meetings, we aren't using SfB as a PBX).
There's no price difference I can see, are there any physical differences in the units? If I got the SfB SKU does that change the quality of calls we'd get using our regular SIP provider?
TIA.

Hello @agility,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The difference is not really there for the Trio as it all about a license which is automatically included for the Trio. The only real difference is that the Unit will be in S4B mode aka you manually need to enable the Web Interface for any changes.
On the VVX the other hand using a -025 SKU for Skype for Business would require a separate Polycom per device license.

OK, so it sound like I'll get the SfB SKU and switch the setup via the web interface then. If it's that simple, is there any reason to offer the two different SKUs? It sounds like everyone should just buy the SfB version just to give more flexibility in the future if they both work the same on normal SIP connections.
