We have a Polycom VX400 phone with the side car (in color). We have about 70 people in our directory that should be able to be loaded onto the side car as it holds about 84 line keys worth (3 pages with 28 line key/page) of information. In reality we are only able to have about 40 line keys worth of directory on the side car before it starts dropping contact and line key information.
Is this a known limiation and if so, is there a fix, or patch?
Any guidance would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Kurt

Hello Kurt,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server.
If LYNC or Skype please provide Version details and if these are on premise of off premise
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Hello Kurt,
As stated could you please confirm if this is a SIP or a LYNC / S4B deployment ?
Also are these just stored numbers or do you see presence of these contacts ?
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Steffen,
It is a SIP deployment.
I am not sure what you mean by this question:
Also are these just stored numbers or do you see presence of these contacts ?
I retrieved this information directly from the phone following the instructions on the link provided.
Thank you,
Kurt

Hello Kurt,
how are these added ?
Do you program every individual key or are these added via a central phonebook?
Also 5.3.0 is quite old so please update to something more current like 5.4.1
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
Hi Steffen,
They were added via a central phonebook.
Will the update have an an effect, or potentially have an effect, on the issue we are experiencing?
Thank you for your timely replies, very helpful!
