Hello, I have a vvx410 and an expansion module and I  seems to can't find the functinality that I want.

Bascically when I press on an line key it will always placed the blf in the next available spot. I do not want this, I want to add the blf where I pressed on the line key.

Example:

I hold line key 40 on expansion module, enter my information (speed dial...blf wtv...). It will add the line key on spot 2.

I don't understand this, is there a functionaly that can change this? I want it to add the information where I press and hold.

Thanks,

Julien

Hello

This is working as designed. You either manually add keys as they are free or you use the flexible line key feature and program the key via a configuration

The only other option is if you are using LYNC / Skype for Business

Both feature are described in their respective FAQ posts

That is so ridiculous. You guys sould definitly add an option to be able to freely assign the BLF/SPEED dials. Now I have a modul that does not have a screen, what happens if somebody deletes one line key, it will automatically shift everything and make the written paper invalid.

Hello JulienL,

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 22, 2014 Question: Which VVX Phones support the new Expansion Modules and what Software Version is required?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above explains how you can simply print out a paper for the Phone showing all the labels.

In addition Keys are not easily deleted if you are using a BLF.

The Flexible Line Key functionality can be used to do exactly what you want and is explained here:

Jan 12, 2012 Question: Can I change / re-assign the appearance of  Line, BLF, Speed Dial and Presence Keys?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

For any further discussion please provide some more basic details like the current software etc.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
