Polycom VVX background web browser

Hi,

With the soundpoint family it was possible to have a webpage in background on the home screen. Is it possible to have the same thing on the VVX family or it must be an image ?

Thx !

Re: Polycom VVX background web browser

Hi DavidG

It s possible to have a webpage on the VVX's however it does take up the whole screen and acts like a screen saver:

  <mb>
    <mb.idleDisplay.home mb.idleDisplay.home="http://xxxxxxxx.co.uk" />
    <mb.idleDisplay.refresh mb.idleDisplay.refresh="refresh-rate-required" />
  </mb>

and

  <up>
        <up.idleBrowser.enabled up.idleBrowser.enabled="1" />
        <up.screenSaver.enabled up.screenSaver.enabled="1" />
        <up.screenSaver.type up.screenSaver.type="2" />
        <up.screenSaver.waitTime up.screenSaver.waitTime="inactive-time-counter-in-minutes-to-display-webpage" />
    </up>

If your looking for a background image for the vvx i have a post here:

I hope this helps

Re: Polycom VVX background web browser

Hi,

So you confirm it's not possible to have a webpage in background. It must me a screen saver. That's is not a good news. This features was really useful. Is it possible to have the backgrounf image refresh automatically every 5 seconds for example ?

Re: Polycom VVX background web browser

Hi again

well according to:

http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/Microbrowser-Idle-screen-FW-4-1-4/m-p/37488#M5507

then no its full screen only - i dont actually work for polycom so i only go on what i read on here im affraid.

For the 5 second refresh:

<mb.idleDisplay.refresh mb.idleDisplay.refresh="5" />

should refresh the screen every five seconds....

Hope that helps

Cheers

Dave
