Using the Polycom VVX500 in conjunction with(Broad Soft PBX) in a major call center, when an agent attempts to answer an incoming queue call the screen turns white, although all the pertinent information is displayed caller ID, queue name and so on.  The whole screen is white, no other colors. The soft keys changes to an arrow, refresh, home, download, and close on the bottom of the screen then disappears. At that point none of the touchscreen features operate. We can press the Home button, on the right of the phone to change the screen back to the originating call screen. But still no buttons operate at all. The total white screen happens randomly, all other times on an incoming call soft keys appear and  function properly and no white screen. The screen remains in color.

 

Not really sure if it’s supposed to do this or not. The info displayed is easier to read when the white screen appear as opposed to the color.

The graphics are larger and bolder. Phones are year old.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The phone is utilizing the Microbrowser to present call centre information. This is a feature "pushed" from the server you are using so I would liaise with whoever setup the SIP server to get more details on this.

In addition UCS 5.0.1 is quite an outdated software.
