Polycom phones with factory installed device certificate

8x8 requires Polycom phones have factory installed device certificates in order to use on their service. 8x8 sells compatible phones but at higher cost.

Is there any way to tell before buying a phone from for example amazon or another resller whether it has a factory installed device certificates?

I've asked various resellers, my distributor ingram micro and 8x8 reps and they all have no clue what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance.
